Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 10:44 Yes, I think it should work..

There may be a problem with windows CR-LF line endings.
Try to convert newlines in senses30.ukb to windows format.

If that doesn't work, you may try contacting UKB developers at Basque Contry University.

Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 11:13 I had written wrongly the path of senses30.ukb, so I suppose that file does not have anything to do with the error. However I have changed all the LF of Unix into CRLF of Windows.

But the error obviously keeps poping up, so I think the problem is with the other file xwn30-ukb.bin
but this is a binary file so I don´t know what to do with it.

thank you

Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 11:17 I am going to explain here how to change the file and convert it into a windows format (in case someone needs it)

I have used the notepad, you just have to select edit and click on EOL conversion. Then choose Windows and that´s it!

Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 13:22 I have tried to do the same with the .bin file (I have changed the line endings)...but another error has appear:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc

I have checked out that this happens with the disambiguator instance creation.
I have also read that another person in this forum had this error, but he was using another files, not the .ukb and the .bin

Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 14:11 You should make sure the problem is not caused by using on a windows system files that were indexed for Linux.

You should probably use the "compile_ukb" and "convert dict" utilities to create those files in windows.

Re:Obtain the synset of wordnet for every word - 2011/09/05 14:12 Sorry for all of my messages. I hope you are not going crazy

The acurrent situation is this:

- The two files (.bin and .ukb) have been changed (the line endings)

- when I use the debugger I obtain this error:
std::bad_alloc in the disambiguator instance creation line (new disambuaguator.....)

- But when I don´t use the debugger I don´t get any error message, the program simply remains executing (it does not finish). So I suppose the programm is stucked in some place (probably in the same line where the error pops up with the debugger )
